Introducing Referizz: Our Vision for a More Connected Job Search
Discover why we’re building Referizz, how it brings jobs, referrals, resume tools, and practical guidance together, and our vision for helping people navigate their next career move.

Finding your next opportunity involves more than finding a job listing.
You need to understand the role, decide whether your experience fits, prepare your resume, and sometimes reach out to someone who can offer advice or a referral. As applications move forward, there are conversations to prepare for and next steps to keep track of.
Each part takes effort. Together, they can make a job search feel like a second job.
We’re building Referizz to bring those parts closer together. Our vision is a more connected job search, one where discovering opportunities, understanding your experience, finding support, and preparing your next step feel like parts of the same journey.
That starts with a simple idea: useful tools should help you move forward with greater clarity.
Referizz is an early-stage job-search technology platform that brings together employer-sourced job postings, resume-assisted matching, a referral community, and practical career guidance.
You might arrive knowing exactly which company you want to join. You might be exploring a career change or trying to understand where your skills could take you. Wherever you start, our aim is to help you find useful information and turn it into a thoughtful next step.
The foundation is the job itself.
Referizz indexes postings from employer career systems and brings them into a searchable catalog. We preserve the employer’s original job titles and descriptions, while organizing fields such as location to make the catalog easier to explore.
That distinction matters. When you’re considering a role, you need to understand what the employer actually says about its responsibilities, qualifications, and working arrangements. Those details can help you decide whether to apply, what to highlight in your resume, and what to ask during an interview.
Our catalog refreshes periodically, and applications take place on the employer’s website. Coverage is still expanding, and openings can change between checks, so it’s always worth reviewing the original posting before applying.
From there, the question becomes: how does this opportunity connect with your experience?
A job title rarely tells the whole story. Two roles with similar titles can involve different responsibilities. And experience gained in one industry may be useful in another, even when the wording looks unfamiliar.
Referizz offers resume-assisted profile creation and skills-based job matching to help you explore those connections. You can review your profile and use it to find roles that may deserve a closer look.
Where available, AI comparison can review your approved skills profile against selected employer requirements. Skills-based matching provides an alternative when AI is unavailable.
These tools are intended to support your judgment. A suggested match is a starting point for reading and reflection; it cannot determine whether an employer will interview or hire you. You still know your experience, priorities, and circumstances best.
Sometimes, the next useful step is a conversation.
You may want to ask what a team’s work looks like, learn more about a company, or request a referral for a specific opening. Knowing whom to approach, and how to ask, can be difficult, especially when you’re building your professional network.
Our referral community gives members a place to ask for help and offer it to others.
A useful request can be straightforward: name the company and role, share a little relevant experience, and explain whether you’re looking for a referral or advice. Giving someone enough context makes it easier for them to understand how they might help.
We want that community to encourage considerate conversations. Members’ employment and ability to provide referrals are not verified by Referizz, and a request does not guarantee a response, introduction, or interview. Even so, a helpful reply can give someone context, direction, or a clearer next step.
Practical guidance connects these pieces.
Finding a promising role is useful. Understanding how to prepare for it is useful too.
Through Career Advice, we’ll share guidance on reading job descriptions, tailoring resumes, requesting referrals, preparing for interviews, and managing a job search. Our aim is to make that guidance specific enough to use: examples you can adapt, questions you can ask, and checklists that help you get started.
For example, imagine you find an opening that interests you. You read the employer’s description and identify the responsibilities you’ve handled before. You review your experience, decide which examples belong on your resume, and ask a focused question about the company. If an interview follows, you use those same responsibilities to prepare stories about your work.
That’s the connection we want Referizz to support. Information from one step should help you take the next.
As we grow, a few principles will guide us:
- Keep employer information at the center. Original titles and descriptions should remain available so you can understand the source.
- Make tools understandable. Suggestions should help you examine an opportunity and make your own decisions.
- Handle personal information thoughtfully. Resume and account features should give people clear information about how their data is used.
- Encourage useful community participation. Specific requests, respectful replies, and realistic expectations help people help each other.
- Grow carefully. Broader coverage and new features should come with clear communication about their capabilities and limits.
Referizz is still early in its journey. Today, you can explore the job catalog, use available resume-assisted matching tools, and participate in the referral community. We’re continuing to expand employer coverage and develop the platform. Additional tools, including a resume builder, are part of the direction ahead.
Our long-term vision is to make the job search more connected, understandable, and actionable, so people can discover opportunities, prepare thoughtfully, and find support along the way.
For now, start with one useful step. Explore current jobs, read a role that interests you, and consider how it connects with what you want to do next.
And if there’s something that would make your search easier, we’d like to hear it. Share your feedback at [email protected].
We’re building Referizz to help people navigate their next career move. Your experience can help shape what comes next.
