About the Role
We're looking for a Senior AI Developer to build and ship production-grade agentic and RAG-based AI systems. This is a hands-on engineering role: most of your time is spent writing code, designing agent workflows, and getting features into production. You'll also help set technical direction and mentor others along the way.
You'll work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to turn messy, real-world problems into reliable, scalable AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered agentic systems and RAG pipelines into production.
- Build multi-agent and tool-using workflows using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
- Develop RAG pipelines: retrieval, chunking, embeddings, vector search, and evaluation.
- Work with agent interoperability and tooling standards such as A2A (Agent-to-Agent) and MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Build and expose backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI or Flask).
- Deploy and operate agents in production (we use Amazon Strands and AgentCore for build and deployment).
- Set up practical evaluation and monitoring for agents and RAG quality, latency, and cost.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and give thoughtful code reviews.
- Mentor other developers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product and stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions.
Qualifications - Required
- Strong Python skills and experience building backend services with FastAPI or Flask.
- Hands-on experience building LLM applications — prompt design, RAG, or agent workflows.
- Experience with an agent/LLM framework such as LangChain or LangGraph (or a willingness to ramp up quickly if you've used similar tools).
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for tool/context integration — or closely related agent-tooling experience and the ability to pick it up quickly.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Experience deploying applications to production and keeping them running (serving, basic monitoring, debugging).
- Comfortable with a cloud platform (AWS preferred, since our stack is AWS-based).
- Solid fundamentals with version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD.
- Good communication and a collaborative, team-first approach.
Qualifications - Nice to Have
- Experience with vector databases (e.g. pgvector, OpenSearch).
- Exposure to A2A, Amazon Strands, or AgentCore — or similar agent/deployment tooling.
- Familiarity with evaluation and observability for LLM apps (e.g., LangSmith).
- Awareness of responsible AI practices: privacy, security, and safe/guardrailed agents.
