About this opportunity Original employer description Market Access & Technology Solutions
ROLE SUMMARY This principal-level leader manages people and independently leads complex, client-facing revenue management and system integration engagements. The role combines full-suite Model N expertise, deep knowledge in one or more market access domains, disciplined program delivery, IRA experience, and active support of business development and practice growth.
Position Focus
Lead and develop a team of functional and technical resources while maintaining accountability for delivery quality, utilization, and client outcomes. Own end-to-end implementations, enhancements, integrations, and transformation programs across the revenue management landscape, with deep experience across the revenue management full suite applications. Provide subject matter leadership in one or more areas: Commercial Contracting, Managed Care, Government Pricing, Medicaid, Technical Architecture/Integration, or Automation. Operate independently as the engagement lead, establishing the delivery structure, governance, communications, and controls required to execute successfully. Help expand the practice through business development support and relationship building techniques.
Core Responsibilities
1. People Leadership & Practice Management Manage, coach, and develop a team of resources across functional, technical, and project delivery disciplines. Establish clear expectations, provide actionable feedback, support career development, and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Plan staffing and team charter based on project scope, required capabilities, client needs, and delivery risk. Set and reinforce standards for project management, documentation, testing, quality assurance, and client communication. Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, capability development, reusable assets, and practice operations. 2. Client Engagement & Program Leadership Independently lead complex, multi-workstream client engagements from discovery and planning through design, build, testing, deployment, stabilization, and transition to support. Serve as the primary client-facing delivery leader, building trusted relationships with senior business, technology, finance, and operations stakeholders. Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, resource plans, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and acceptance criteria. Coordinate delivery across client teams, software vendors, system integrators, data providers, and other third parties, with clear ownership and escalation paths. Create and execute governance models, status reporting, steering committee materials, communication plans, and change management plans. Maintain accountability for scope, quality, schedule, financial performance, and client satisfaction. 3. Revenue Management Provide functional and technical leadership across the pharmaceutical revenue management ecosystem, including integrations with ERP, data platforms, chargeback, rebate, pricing, membership, and financial systems. Apply hands-on experience to guide solution architecture, configuration, integration, data conversion, testing, deployment, and operational readiness. Assess current-state processes and systems, define future-state operating models, and translate business requirements into scalable solution designs. Lead design decisions across master data, transaction flows, calculation logic, interfaces, controls, reporting, and reconciliation. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and automate manual activities. 4. Functional & Technical Subject Matter Expertise Demonstrate deep expertise in at least one of the following domains, with the ability to connect business requirements to system and data implications: Commercial Contracting; Managed Care; Government Pricing; Medicaid; technical architecture and integrations; or automation. Partner effectively with cross-functional teams including Market Access, Contract Operations, Government Pricing, Medicaid, Finance, IT, Data, Legal, Compliance, and Quality Assurance. Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into practical processes, system requirements, controls, and implementation plans. Guide the development of interfaces, data pipelines, workflow automation, reporting, validation rules, and operational controls. 5. SDLC, Quality & Operational Readiness Apply strong software development life cycle experience across requirements, design, build, unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare. Define delivery standards and ensure traceability across requirements, configurations, technical specifications, test scenarios, defects, and release decisions. Lead testing strategy, defect governance, data reconciliation, cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization. Ensure solutions are supported by clear documentation, SOPs, runbooks, training materials, support models, and transition plans. Promote repeatable delivery methods, accelerators, templates, and automation that improve efficiency and reduce implementation risk. 6. IRA & Regulatory Transformation Advise clients on system, data, process, and operational impacts associated with the Inflation Reduction Act, including Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program and Maximum Fair Price implementation considerations. Translate IRA requirements into cross-functional workplans, solution requirements, integration needs, controls, testing strategies, and readiness activities. Coordinate stakeholders and vendors to address dependencies across pricing, contracting, claims, payment, data, reporting, and financial processes. Monitor evolving requirements and help clients assess impacts to operating models, technology roadmaps, and compliance readiness. 7. Business Development & Market Growth Support account and practice leadership in identifying, shaping, and advancing new opportunities. Contribute to or lead RFP responses, solution strategies, statements of work, delivery approaches, staffing models, estimates, pricing inputs, and executive presentations. Participate in client workshops, capabilities presentations, demonstrations, and proposal orals. Help develop market-facing offerings, thought leadership, case studies, reusable assets, and alliance relationships. Identify follow-on opportunities within active engagements and connect client needs to broader practice capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams and leading complex client-facing engagements independently. Deep revenue management experience and hands-on expertise with the Model N full suite across implementation, enhancement, integration, or transformation programs. Proven ability to create and manage project timelines, integrated project plans, governance structures, communication plans, change management plans, and cross-vendor delivery models. Strong SDLC experience, including requirements, design, build, SIT, UAT, cutover, deployment, and stabilization. Experience addressing Inflation Reduction Act impacts, including operational or technology readiness for MFP-related processes. Executive-level communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting business development through proposals, statements of work, estimates, solutioning, and client presentations.
